Kangoo is a motion capture data translator/manipulator with the aim to create a complete skeleton animation based on mocap data.
Kangoo is still work in progress
FEATURES DESCRIPTION
In order to describe kangoo features (implemented and future) we'll take a look to the program workflow.
The main purpose of the application is to create skeleton animation starting from motion capture data. Users start to import motion capture data.
Kangoo then shows markers positions and link structure. Starting from this mocap-skeleton users create a joints-skeleton using mocap data and helpers.
Helpers are pure geometrical entities helping users to define joints positions. i.e. tu identify a pelvis joint a MidPoint. Helper can be used to identify the
mid point between two hip makers. Once users define joints (and bones) kangoo computes rotations angles in order to keep mocap-skeleto and user defined
skeleton to move togheter. Then skeleton animation is ready to be exported to prefered software.
